A.C. police issue warrant for woman in Borgata theft

ATLANTIC CITY - Police have issued a search warrant for a woman that allegedly robbed a guest at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa of more than $45,000.

Muhammad Ali Shaikh told police he left the woman alone in his 18th-floor room at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday. When he returned at about 3:30 p.m., she was gone - and so was $15,000 in chips and $30,200 in cash.

A warrant was issued for Narmoline Malik, 37, on Wednesday night, Lt. Richard Roff said Thursday. Her last known address was in Jersey City, Hudson County.

Police have refused to comment on the relationship between Shaikh and Malik. She has been charged with theft of more than $500.

Malik -who goes by Norma - is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds with black curly hair and brown eyes. She has an olive complexion.

Anyone with information about Malik is asked to call the Detective Bureau at 347-5766.
