Headline News Interview....tired of the "race" card.

HLN just had an interview with a passenger that went through TSA's security in an airport within the US. She is a black female that is accusing the TSA of racial profiling during her recent screening prior to her flight.

She says when she went through security, TSA asked her to go through the machine that does a full body scan and takes roughly 7 seconds. She said she thought this was a weird request but did it anyway. Next, after the scan was successfully completed, she was asked by TSA to have her hair checked because it was tied up in the back into a bun. The lady went on to say that because she was black they decided to do extra measures to check her and pat her hair down.

I'm sorry but I have been requested of the same thing regarding the full body scan. I have also seen my own mother, who is white, get her hair checked while going through security. TSA actually has a policy guide on their website that states they are required to check hair that is pulled up into a bun or a ball behind the head. It is similar to making a male or female remove a baseball cap. They need to check and see if something is hidden inside of it.

The HLN reporter doing the interview even seemed to disagree with the woman during the interview but had to stay professional.....

I saw this and it just made me wonder why so many people are still playing the race card??? Not everything is about RACE....stop making excuses for doing things that everyone else has to do!!!

Anyone else seeing too much of this?

My wife gets her hair patted, too. And yes, most TSA screeners I see are black, also.

Yes, I'm sick of the "race" card, and it means a lot less when it's thrown around for BS reasons. (True story: the other night I was leaving a blackjack table, and apparently the black guy I'd been sitting next to a while had a real problem with the way I asked for my chips to be "colored" up. Seriously.)

Anyone see Ed Shultz the other day, saying that Rick Perry was racist in saying that there was "a black cloud hanging over America"? Perry was talking about the national debt, and Shultz outright said Perry was talking about Obama. Shultz had to apologize the next day.

Most people pulling the "race card" are looking to start trouble, misrepresent someone else for personal/political reasons, or make a buck.

Hear it all to often. Basically when it is the first thing out of their mouth it shows they have nothing else and jabbering bs.

Was going to ask what ethnicity the reporter was?
