heads up to everyone who may be in the market for a car!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we got news on satellite broadcast, GM is going to offer 0% finance on all vehicles starting tomorrow throught the 20th. I don't have all the details yet and I believe the terms vary depending on the popularity of the vehicle. eg....most passenger vehicles 60-72 mos at 0%, while the new silverado may be at 0% for 36 or 48 mos. This is a big change for general motors, who last year announced that they were going to stop the big incentives to sell cars and trucks. Obviously the fact that January was a pig of a month for everyone but Toyota, has brought on a change in attitude. Just thought I would alert everyone in case you were about to consumate a deal on a GM product, wait a day or two and the deal will get BETTER!!!
I'll forward info as I get it.

people really should look at the domestics, i know most people, actually pretty muich everyone has this idea that imports are better, but there was a recently conducted study where they found that lincoln and cadillac are almost better than if not better then other luxury vehicles in the BMW or audi range, while goign to the shop almost half as less as those, and they offer better options at cheaper costs then more imports, obviously people know honda's and toyota's last forever, but my family has 3 domestics in the driveway that have over 200+ miles on it, while my grandfather refuses to buy non-american, and he has an old chevy nova, like 82 i wanna say that he drives everyday. we all gotta help bring the auto market back to american manufacturers

Domestic and import labels are deceiving. Car parts are manufactured around the world then assembled around the world as well.

For example Toyota trucks are assembled in USA. Most Nissans are assembled on this continent; trucks, Maxima and Altima in USA; Sentra in Mexico; 350z and Murano in Japan if memory serves.

Just buy whatever car suits you don't be ignorant and think you have to buy a Ford/Chevy/Dodge. My Ford (Contours) are assembled in Mexico and Kansas City.

GM offering zero-percent financing, cash bonus
Tue Feb 13, 2007 10:50 AM ET

DETROIT, Feb 13 (Reuters) - General Motors Corp <GM.N> will offer free financing and bonus cash for the next week to boost sales after a big decline in January, the automaker said on Tuesday.

The program offers $500 bonus cash in the Midwest and Northeast regions and zero-percent financing for up to five years on certain vehicles in the remaining U.S. regions.

The program includes most 2006 and 2007 models but excludes the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Saturn Vue Hybrid, medium-duty trucks and the Cadillac, Hummer and Saab brands.

The program will run through Feb. 20.

GM, which lost $10.6 billion in 2005 and more than $3 billion in the first three quarters of 2006, has been trying to avoid big discount programs as it sticks to clearer pricing.

In the past, GM relied heavily on massive incentives to clear dealer lots. The new strategy is aimed at higher profitability at the risk of reduced sales.

GM's sales fell about 20 percent in January, hurt by a reduction in rental fleet companies and weak consumer demand.

The automaker in January spent an average of $2,365 in incentives per vehicle, its lowest level since 2002. DaimlerChrysler AG's <DCXGn.DE> Chrysler Group spent an average of $3,853 while Ford Motor Co. <F.N> spent $3,502 per vehicle.

GM sales analyst Paul Ballew in January said the automaker will not return to its past habits of high incentivizing but "will do what it takes to stay competitive."
