Hedge Question

Guys and gals,

Last night a placed a 7 game parlay for $200 and by the luck of god I hit the first 6 games. The 7th game is tonight and I am pretty sure I should hedge the bet so win something.

8/21/2006 3:49 PM
Type Parlay
Risk 200.00
To Win 6,766.41
Baseball - 902 Florida Marlins -134 for Game
Baseball - 904 Atlanta Braves -190 for Game
Baseball - 906 Cincinnati Reds -117 for Game
Baseball - 907 Philadelphia Phillies -131 for Game
Basketball - 611 Seattle Storm +6˝ -110 for Game
Football - 481 Dallas Cowboys -3 +112 for Game

What I am trying to do is figure out how much I should put LA Sparks. I am thinking of putting 3k on them that way I win 3k or so either way. Or should roll with it and try to win 6766? Seems like a smart idea to take the 3k and move on. This gambling thing is a marthon not a sprint. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, I rarely play parlays or futures and this was 100% luck.

Thanks,
Beer

Yeah put 2K or so on the Sparks, can't beat certain money in this business.

One thing though try and get a better line On LA than what u got on Seattle.
Even if it means buying a point. Then u have a chance (albeit a very remote chance) of hitting both.

Hedge for half of your parlay payout minus the juice on the straight bet and you will be very happy either way. GL

That's the plan, it's hard to not be greedy, but hedging is the smart thing to do.
