help burning songs to disk

for some reason I am having problems burning songs to cd's...I download usually from Limewire and try and burn using windows media...it goes through the process okay but the last few I have done when I try and play them in my cd player in truck it says disc invalid...

I have burned alot of cd's in the past and I have not changed my method...confused what is up

First, these are all new cd's not trying to write over the top of them

Second, Same cpu system have not changed recently

Help anyone??

are the files on the cd mp3? if so, have you played cd's with mp3 files on them in your truck before? it could be that your player in your truck doesn't read mp3 files and you need them to be converted to wave files

bullshit... to play them on audio cd player you needn't convert the mp3's to wave... but to cd-audio files... usually the software (f.e. nero) does that job...

try open your written cd on your computer and check the fileformat on the disk... if it's mp3's you found the fault... if it's cda files, you might check if you switched the 'brand of cd-r'

if it's cd-r's and your player says invalid audio disk, check in another player, of a friend or in the car... if it doesnt work there either, write a new cd with another cd-r brand and slower speed...

Hey Cman check to see if there is any updates for windows media player ..Or just do a fresh install ..I use Nero myself ..Once in a while if i start getting Errors messages i just uninstall them reinstall it and it seems to do the trick ..Does not happen that much but when it does that seems to fix the problem
