Help Guys?
Hi,
I got this guy calling me and asking me to invest in his company. The company is private and is based in Canada. They are service provider for WiMax. They are profitable and he wants to sell me $1 per share and I will be getting quarterly royalty. The company is called Webnet. I guess WiMax is like the next generation for wireless internet and it is much cheaper to operate than the DSL and cable company. Anyone heard of these guys and this technology? Thanks |

Not familiar with them, and me personally, would never invest in a company from a guy calling me over the telephone asking for money to invest in his company. Not to say it can't work out, just not my style. Go to google and do some research on the company, you have there name.

In my opinion, if the company is that good, there are plenty of venture capitalists who would want a piece.
Consider Vonage, already an established company. When the IPO came around, the investment firms passed. So they went directly to their customers, offering blocks of stock before it went public. Then followed by one of the worst performing IPOs in history. People lost 75% in weeks. Point is, good companies don't need to cold call potential investors. Smells bad, scam or no scam. |
