Help my stand-up video win $10,000!!
Countrypeople,

I entered a stand-up contest for TurboTax and my video submission needs YOUR votes. First place is $10,000 (which, ironically, they will tax the hell out of) and a trip to LA to open up for Jay Mohr. Obviously, this would mean a lot to me.

Voting is easy. You just go to http://www.taxlaugh.com and click on the "Vote" button on the right side of the page next to the Jay Mohr video. Search for "Brainos," click on my video, and then click on the thumbs-up icon! You can even take it a step further if you want and give all the other videos thumbs down like you're the Caesar of comedy and you want all other submissions to be fed to hungry lions!

just being honest... if i was trying to battle for that $10k i'd put a lil more efford in making a good quality video... if the content is quality aswell, you got a way better chance than if you are just funny and must overcome a bad quality video...

haha, thanks for the honesty. It was supposed to be a lot better quality video, but my videographer had to hop a last-minute flight to Chicago, leaving me with no one to film my set. I thought I was screwed, then remembered that I have a decent little webcam, so I brought my laptop on stage and set up the webcam to record the show.

As for the content, TurboTax's submission rules were strict as s***, so I cut out all material that mentioned any person's name, any companies name, anything having to do with alcohol, anything that any group could possibly deem offensive, etc. I knew I'd only have one shot to film, so I didn't want to risk anything and end up with a rejected video.

I'll admit that the John Ramsey video is good, but that s*** is edited as hell. I think any stand-up video should not have edits.

Thanks a lot for your support, Mallrats. Also feel free to check out my "LCS 2 min" video on YouTube. It's the material I'll be doing for my Last Comic Standing audition in Nashville on March 3rd. The video will be up for a couple more days, then I'm taking it down so people don't steal my s***.

Yes, it is one of the variations of the "Konami Code." There were about two or three different ways to enter in the code, depending on which Konami game you were playing.

I used to play nothing but Contra and Double Dribble as a kid.
