Help Pls, Knoxville (Neyland Stadium)

Thinking of headin to Knoxville Labor Day weekend for U of Montana vs the Vols of TN.

Obviously booze will be involved so looking for motels near bars which are within a mile or so of Neyland Stadium.

Please tell me where to go (not hell), what's a "can't miss", etc.

Thanks in advance.

try to see if any hotels have visiting team rates.
Try to find out where the football team is staying also.

If you contact the university, they have to have info for fans traveling with the team, it might take a day, but the athletic dept. should have plenty of info and possibly real good tickets.

You driving?

Yeah the GSA (Grizzly Athletic Assoc) has tix for their members. We were allotted 9500 but I'm guessing they are up in some corner, far, far away?

Though about driving, making a week of it and maybe catching a baseball game going down and coming back somewhere (would love to hit Wrigley one day...). But I checked airfare and it's only $314 RT from Billings. Only one stop, Denver.

My wife is in the middle of nursing school and we have 3 kids. I've been playing a lot of Mr Mom since all she does is homework. So if I go I'm thinking it'd have to be a quick trip.

oh man...

99.9% chance it won't happen but, yes, it'd be cool.

Our stadium is pretty cool but I'm guessing one 4X as big is pretty damn cool, too. Would like to make it.

$314 = Flying For Sure.

Every time I flew to Billings I went through Denver.
I couldn't imagine how much it would cost me to drive there now, I did it a lot a few years back. $4.00 a gallon kills any cross-country trip.
