Hernia home recovery day one :

Surgery at 10am
Done by 11
so they gave me about 5 pills , not sure what they all were , valium , gravall for stomach , cdine and couple others for ½ hour before op,
then into the op room.

Then they put the thing in front of you so you cant see what they’re doing , nurse takes youre blood pressure,
then I feel a sharp cut,
nurse says doc he can feel it better give him something ,
I’m a little droggy I laugh it off,
there’s some rock music in the back ground ...
Anyways after 45 min the op is done .

They walk you back to your room tell you To sleep for four hours.
After 3 I get up start to walk , the nurse tells me to go back its too early
wait another hour,
I’m the first patient that’s ever tried to walk before the 4 hours of 1 mil patients
I wait an hour not dizzy , go walk no problems , etc...

Dinner by 5
By 6 They have a lounge get up again walk around watch tv , you’re not supposed to leave
your floor the day of surgery.
After an hour of tv I’m boored so I sneak outside down the stairs and have a smoke ,
walk outside for ½ an hour then go back up.

Walk up and down stairs for some excercise for ½ hour or so . ½ hour of tv , by 830 bored again,
830 pm another smoke break . 9pm snack time muffins and cookies ,, then up to the nurse for sleeping pills and pain killers.

No one’s allowed outside after 9 pm , but went out for a last smoke.
2nd day you can go out whenever you want , breakfast at 730 , luch 1145 , dinner545
snack 9pm...Bunch of smoke breaks...
In Tuesday Out Thursday They “staple” the incision”
It was the size of a tennis ball.

There were a few people from America there getting theirs repaired from botched operations ,
or they had to go through so many tests to confirm it was a hernia (I guess doctors can get
sued if the mis diagnose?)
they just decided to come to this hospital.

Here its just one exam , and they schedule you.
All they do is Hernia operations...

Right now just a little pain getting up and down out of a chair

nice to c ur ok...I had hernia surgery last year in AUG...but I was out for like 8 hrs.
