Home Depot Fight To The Death - What would you choose?

Let's say you and 29 other people were chosen at random from the US populace and all locked together inside a home depot. It is impossible to leave the store until there is 1 person left alive. When first being locked inside the Home Depot there is a short window of "peace time" where all participants can arm themselves with 3 items from the inventory of the store. What would you choose and why?

I would probably choose a hand ax, the sturdiest roofing shingles I could find and a pack of duck tape. I could construct some flexible armor out of the roofing shingles to place under my clothing to be secured by the tape. I could also stack a few squares of shingles together duck taping the hell out of it into a makeshift shield I could then tape to my arm.

The setup would allow me to move fast, offer some armor and defensive capability while still letting me be offensive with the handaxe.

3 ladders.

i would place them on top of each other and climb to the highest point in the store that i could, and then pull the last ladder up behind me. i would let all the other fools kill each other and i could just watch from above.

then at the end if there was 1 person left down there with me, i would just steal a weapon from someone already dead
