Home improvement

Does anyone do a lot of this? Do they know you by name at Home Depot? Do you watch way to much DIY and HGTV?

Guilty. I have a project going on constantly. I am a finisher though. I get one thing done but start another immediately.

Nice. I don't sub out anything either except carpet and my brother-in-law does it super cheap. (Beer)

This is one thing I wish I was a lot better at. Can't draw a straight line so definately not going to try to put stuff up. I am the type that will hire it all out.

Should probably just find a small project to start with and see how I fare on that. Home improvement and vehicle repairs are the two areas wish I would have taken more of an interest in when younger.

I suck at this pretty much, but since I recently bought a home I am becoming better and more aware of projects. My future father-in-law is great at it so I take lessons from him when we do stuff around my house or his. But other than that, I really dont have a handy bone in my body. I honestly wish I was good at stuff like this

nice work guys.

depending on the project, small ones i finish; large ones sometime i lose a little motivation and drag out a bit. I have not made any large improvements in a while though.

Definitely not as nice as what you guys have done; i am more of a fixer than doing brand new stuff. I try not to sub stuff out or if i do then it is to friends with a little more expertise.

I have done 2 full bathrooms; new Laundry area; new floor in the kitchen. I did all of it myself, some elbow grease help from friends here and there, but didnt sub anything out; all plumbing and electrical included (dont tell the inspector) which was a PITA to wire new 220 for the dryer.

thinking of resurfacing the wood floors this summer and replacing all the fencing around the house. We'll see though. this is going to be a busy summer as is without any projects.
