Home theater.

I was wondering if any one has built one in their house.I am building one now in a spare room.I am doing all the work myself. Not large 12x18.I am now building a floating floor so the bass rumbles more.I am into electronics as a hobby.I was using the living room and wanted to have a room just for tv.Just wondered if anyone has done this and had any tips.

Get those good connectors that go from the Receiver to the TV and etc....Also,get the ones that are 3-4' long.It makes it a alot easier to pull out your equipment to work on it.

The wires are expensive but it is definately worth it,specially if you are doing HDTV.

The floor does not touch the walls it is a wood frame set on top of concrete with 2 layers of plywood on top with insulation in between the 2x4's.It is solid to walk on but by not being attached to the walls the the sound is supposed to be better.I will carpet it just like a normal floor.
