Horrible

last night i witnessed the most disgusting thing in poker ever. final table in a tourney on poker stars, im in the BB. player in seat 4 raises, SB calls, I call with 4-4. Flop comes K-3-4. SB checked, I checked, player in seat 4 goes all in. SB calls off his remaining chips, I do the same. SET OVER SET OVER SET, 3-3, 4-4, K-K. i picked up a 4 flush draw after the turn with my 4 of clubs, but it missed. i sat hopelessly watching the most dis-heartening thing ever. when you call a big raise with 3-3 and 4-4 and you hit a set, only to lose to a higher set, you throw up. i will now go throw up. whats almost is as bad is i flopped a straight flush with Qd-Jd, and the guy 4 seats to my right flopped the low end of the straight flush with 6d-7d about an hour earlier. online poker is an ugly, ugly, monster.

One time, I had Orlando -7.5.

Up 12 with 30 seconds left. Not only do they give up a layup, but they foul him also. Hits the FT to cut the lead to 9. No worries, right? Oh, that's right, they turn the ball over, leading to a layup. Game over, Orlando wins by 7.

Wait, that was today

depends on the raise size, your stack size/blind size.

Seanie I agree with Henry : Depends on Stacks , etc

I have a theory
Its unproven , but just my own hunch. :

The house is there to make a profit. They get a take on every hand.
Therefore the way to make $ is to make every hand go as fast as
possible and week out the WEAK

When you have time (you seem to play more than I do ) write down how many times the flops go to the guys that have bigger stacks than the ones that have lesser stacks.

Its in the house's advantage to keep the guys with bigger stacks around ,
and get rid of the ones with weaker stacks IMO ...

Poker is not meant to be fair , and when you have more stacks than the next guy , you're supposed to play them out of the game ..

this was a tourney. blinds at 10000-20000 ante i think was 200. guyy only made it 60000 to play. i only had maybe 150,000 in front of me at the time. so 40,000 grand more. final table, chip leader has close to 3 mil in chips, i made the right call.

You can argue it either way

Imo there is only one thing you can do there pre-flop

either fold or go all in.
