Hostages freed by troops
BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. and British troops Thursday freed three Christian peace activists in rural Iraq without firing a shot, ending a four-month hostage drama in which an American among the group was shot to death and dumped on a Baghdad street. Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch, the U.S. military spokesman, said the hostages were being held by a "kidnapping cell," and the operation to free the captives was based on information from a man captured by U.S. forces only three hours earlier.

I am glad they are safe.

Shows you that the captured operative wasn't willing to die for the cause.
If his cause was so strong, you'd think he would've taken the "poison pill" to avoid torture and revealing the hostages' whereabouts.

are these the same ones that were in all those videos that started around Christmas time that there was two Canadians in the group?... thank goodness that this has finally come to an end and they are safe... good news indeed...

What is the point???

Rescue these 3 today, means more will be kidnapped tomorrow and the next day.

This cycle of kidnapping will never end.

Foreigners are not safe there, not even the foreign military forces.
