What is the real deal with these BS emails that I always receive:
THIS ONE IS BEING PROMOTED, TAKE ADVANTAGE!! Promoting sym: PLMA Price: $0.02 5 Day Target price: $0.1 Action: Strong buy.. Short-Term Bullish. Insider Buying Alert.

Pump and dump scheme.
The hope is that some idiot will actually believe he is getting a hot tip on a penny stock and buy up a bunch of shares. If enough people do it, the share price will rise to a certain level. At this point the "pumper" who got suckers to buy up shares and drive the price up will either unload all of his shares (if he owns any), flooding the market and taking the stock down to new lows, or short the stock when people realize there was no good fundamental reason for the rise in stock price to begin with.

Exactly what seems to occur Dom...by the time I look at the email I checkthe stock out and the charts look like Mt. freakin' Everest....you can see the surge from open and then BAM...free fall
 So I guess these people/syndicates position themselves in "dead" stocks and then get everyone else to buybuybuy and then they sell as others buy up the price...genius/sick

Figured I would post some of these spam alerts for entertainment and edumacational purposes only (please do not buy)... nothing like watching a bon fire
 Just received this one a few minutes ago:THE INTERNET SECTOR IS HOT AGAIN! S.umbol: CCTI Current price: $0.19 5 Day Target price: $0.95 Recommendation: very aggresive buy!! Internet sector is hot again eh? LOL...sounds legit right  Stock closed at 0.19 today 3/27 and if you look at the volume graphs, nobody touched this stock until early Monday morning....lol...Since Monday the volume has been incredible with the stock quickly dripping away. But volume charts before monday show very thin trading at best...what a scam. Stock hits 0.10 or lower by Friday -400 Stock stays at or above 0.15 +325

Early trading is bringing ask and bid prices of between 0.14 and 0.23...stock fluctuations of 30%-40% in a 2 hour period are pretty normal for most stocks (sarcasm). Get the gasoline ready...
