How can you use Line moves and %'s to cap games?

Was curious how you can use line moves and percentage of people on a particular team to gain a better understanding of which side to take?

I have just done some mild research along with some inuition. I also watch a lot of bball and seem to have an understanding of which team should perform well.

BUt, how can I get better?

How can I use the line moves to tell me anything?

Any help would be awesome.

The line moves factors for me are complicated to be honest.

Basically as far as the %'s go I nearly never take a side when 55% or more of the weight of $ is on it---big public go's often crash and burn in US pro sports.

But thats sides where it is close to -110 a piece. Say for example ML's I like to go with the Bookmakers liabilty more than the %.

For example today's Duck v B/Hawks game the mean average of the free sites said there was around 62% on Anaheim. But since there price was -280 and Chicago at big + money, Chicago was likely to be a worse result for some books.

Basically what usually means a play for me Is If my research method likes the team the public are NOT on. Not only is it pretty effective but it helps cancel out alot of plays making you more selective.

ok well this is just an example....but lets say the lakers are playing the mavericks and the line opens up at Dallas -4....and you see 64% on the lakers and the line moves favoring Dalls by 6....in my eyes this is the book baiting bettors onto the lakers....if 64 were already on em why would the books bump the line up to 6...they are attracting more laker money and most of the time the mavericks will get the cover....for example tonight the clippers opened at 7 but with the public pounding them they went down to 6.5...strange if everyone was jumping on em.....bulls won str8 up....over unders can be a little tougher but I always watch line movements in nba totals.....books are usually very dead on with there totals...and I follow the action that is coming in along with the movement...hope this helps...any other questions let me know

U also forgot to mention that betting on the Lakers and Clippers at the Staples Center on consecutive days is grounds for disaster..

Then there are some of us who really don't watch those moves or %'s...now that dosen't mean I don't take a peak at movement, but when I cap a game and my #'s show me that A will beat B, and I'm confident in my capping abilities, then line movement and %'s don't really matter anymore cuz I have to believe in my work or I gotta be changing my approach...or just not gamble...LOL
If you do the homework then most often then not you will find that you are on the right side of the lines

BOL to ya!

See Main street forum. I didnt want to do it, but UPINYA83 has been crazed with the notion of the Georgetown Hoyas making it to the final 4 in hoops.. Too bad they couldnt stop Pittsnoggle tonight.
