. . . . . post a link that will direct you to a particular post within a multi-page thread? I have seen this done and the link always has "page=3" or something like that at the end it. Does this code have to be manually typed in and if so, what is the proper syntax?

Go to the post that you want, click "quote" When the quote page comes up, click on the name of the thread at the top, to go back to the thread. It'll take you back to the post that you were going to quote & reply to. Then copy the address.

Probably a quicker way to do it, but that's how I've always done it.

Click on the post # on the top right of the particluar post. For example this would be post #3. Click on that #3 and you will have the address for just this post. Hope this helps.
