Back in my University days ,
they had a few bars whe instead of the stand up place your quaters
games ,

They had the TABLE TOP games where you could sit down
in a nice comfy chair ,
order a beer and ask for a bunch of quaters ...

those were the best

Fun times! Sitting in a chair drinking beer and asking for another roll of quarters! lol Was hooked on Space Invaders, Pac-Man and Pinball!

Yeah I remember the sit down ones. First one I ever played was at a donut shop. Pretty cool at the time. Also remember Chexx hockey with the button you press for the cheering crowd. Played that thing like crazy.
Tried that space invaders game you linked. Got up to 40000+, top score is 500 000, are u kidding me.

I used to love Defender.
Remember Crazy Climber? I loved that one.
And I was really good at Joust.

Vs. Baseball was a lot of fun - prob my favorite. Oh, and the driving games like Turbo and Out Run... Loved 'em!!

I was into pinball as well. Downtown they had old ones as well as the new ones with the video screens back in the mid to late 80s. Musta been 6 arcades downtown within 1/2 mile strip. Places were havens drug dealers and teen runaways. They wiped em all out don't think any are standing today.
