How many years have you been betting on sports ?

Not starting this for anyone to brag, just thought it would be interesting to see the range as well as get to know each other a little better. When I say bet on sports I mean from the day u placed your first sports (Not including horse racing) bet for money with a sportsbook or local. Not with a friend or associate.

16 years here (I think give or take a year either way).

including those parlay sheets, I go back to junior high school (well over 25 years). First bet with an actual bookie was in college (over 20 years ago).

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

With an actual book or local, 20 years. If you count the little parlay cards, made my first one in 5th grade, so that would be 30 years ago.......

LOL--someone else who started out with those parlay cards. I do recall one time hitting a 7 for 7 parlay which, for $5, paid a couple of hundred (BS odds for sure, but still alot of $$$ when you are 15-16 and the year is 1980).
