about 50

but when Medicare (public health care) kicks in it is only about $25

and I have this doctor that often will bulk bill me which means the Governent picks up the enitre account. Priddy sweet system.

On the flip side doctors in Australia havn't earned probably as much as they should since Medicare was introduce in the early (80's I think)

Geez sweet deal while there is lots of good things about NZ we get ripped off on quite a few things.

Broadband, doctors visits and dentists to name a few.

Not worth getting for me as I hardly ever see my doctor. Also If anything unexpected should happen the government would meet the cost.

depends on whether the doctor is a participating doctor with my health insurance company. My wife's doctor and my kids' pediatrician is, so it only costs them $20 a visit. My personal physician (for the last 15 years) does not participate, so it can cost alot for me to go to him. Thankfully, that is usually only once a year for an annual physical, which when all is said and done, runs approx. $450. Of course, I could go to some Dr. Vinnie Boombatz who is on the plan and it would only cost me $20, but there are certain aspects to the physical (the "cough please" part and the "bend over the table" part) that I will not let some stranger perform, regardless of how much money it saves me. Other than my wife, only my personal doctor is permitted to venture into those areas (lol).

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?
