How much is a good bankroll?

I have between $400 for baseball right now.

Gives me pretty much a $10 bet everyday, with some extra money on certain days for games that look really promising.

I'm in it to win (like all of you) but just having some money on a game is really exciting and the second best feeling after winning.

It all depends on what one can afford.

As long as you are not betting more than you can afford to lose and also not betting all of your bankroll on a game (or even more than 5%) then it's what feels good to an individual person.

Some bet for the excitement or action while others bet for profit (obviously we all want profit but you know what I mean)

So to answer what is a good bankroll, I would say there really is no defined amount for a good bankroll

There you have it. i answered you with a bunch of nothing. lol

to each its own man. if $400 is all you can afford to lose then thats the adequate bankroll. playing $10 a play is relatively good bankroll management, risking only 2.5% of it on a play.

$1,000.00 is a pretty good starting point for your typical -110 sports.
Baseball and hockey MLs can be tricky especially if you like to bet the favorites.

10% of your bank should be your largest bet...

Cool

I started with a Weeks pay...just seem like a smart starting point....and if it went poof, I could reload without tears......also I never bet more on a game than it would cost me to go and watch it in person.....seems to fulfill the "excitement" quest......may sound weird to you but, me being a beginner handicapper I have to learn to bet without fear and small bets teach me as much as large bets would .....plus yelling at the TV over a 2* bet has got to be a healthy way to relieve stress....so far this year I am down 5* now and I'm kinda proud that I may be getting the hang of it....Cheaper than therapy....more fun......and good mind exercise........and oddly enough have been meeting some real nice people on line.....seems everyone wishes the best for each other as we are not competing against each other but together competing against the odds of gambling and forecasting uncontrollable events that are mutually exclusive as we look for a reason the make them dependant on one another.....wow....I wrote that?? Must be late.....LOL.....the hardest part for me is choosing which bets should carry more weight...25* there..10* here 5* there 2* there...that's where I think maximizing your bankroll and minimizing your risk is......there is no substitute for experience.......and if your gonna tail other cappers all your life you'll never be any good.....

enjoy,

mildavid
