Question How secure or insecure is your neighbourhood where u live?

I have it pretty good as I have an apartment, everyone in all the apartments look out for each other and know each other. Robbers don't target it for that reason too dodgy for them to get caught. Location is pretty good too in terms of the crime rate.

I realise many others don't have it like this.

Dave-
Over the last several months alot has been made of the Crime Zone that Chicago is. Its funny because there are only two/three small sections of town where the crime happens. far southside, far west side, and a pocket known as humboldt park.

if you live on the northside from downtown to up near me its as secure as you are going to get in a big city. yes, there are some petty threfts, some assualts and robberies, but I can walk around the northside at anytime day and night and never have a worry.

funny story...I sell infrared cameras for a living, like the nightvision stuff the military uses...I bought a new house in a brand new subdivision, mine was one of the first hosues built and they were still building around me. I closed ona friday and dropped a few things off at the house, some stuff for my office, a few infrared cameras that are worth about 50K each and my laptop. I stayed at my apartmentand was planning on moving the rest of my stuff in on saturday morning. When I get there staurday my window was popped open and someone had stolen my laptop but the 2 cameras that were worth 100k combined were still in their cases right next to where my laptop was. Never felt so relieved or lucky after being robbed.

that reminds me when i moved houses last time, i had a carrying unit for my old car and soem other stuff, i put it on newspaper "giving away for free", noone wanted it... so i had to call a friend to get it away (cost me like 30€) and he told me to put it down to the street... so i dropped teh shit there and my nice tv chair... and within 3 minutes, some ****tard stole my tv-chair... i called the police... and five minutes later... they stole all the dump aswell... lol...

I have a guns and people know I will use them. Very nice neighborhood but the kids today have little to no respect so I am sure in time we will all have to deal with them.

I live in a nice neighborhood now that I have a family. When I was single though, lived in a crap area here because it was a big, nicely updated, cheap apartment and very close to the bars, lol. Neighbors downstairs slept with guns and I never had a real problem with anyone, just made as many friends down there that I could. Bad neighborhood though, saw the SWAT team out on multiple occasions. Before I got married bought a nice house with a very good location, not much to worry about around me now

DEA raided the house across the street from me a few years ago. Nice house, nice neighborhood....can happen anywhere. The dopers across the street weren't negro or dirties....they were Vietnamese

maybe not lying. just a difference in perception. lived in the same place in hawaii for 15 yrs now. in those years one neighbor close by has been robbed. no violent crimes. but i feel like i live in a safe neighborhood. but i do lock my door when i leave for the day. so you might be right. maybe im the second one.
