How would you interpret this ? Sportsbook rule

"In the event of a participant withdrawing after the start of an event in all sports with the exception of tennis, all related stakes will be lost. In the event of a participant withdrawing after the start of a tennis match, the respective bets will be deemed void if at the time of suspension they are still not decided as winning or losing (e.g. First Set and First Set Exacta will be settled if the first set has ended). If a participant withdraws before the start of the event (including official trials) the respective bets are deemed void unless otherwise stipulated."

tennis match was started and a player had to withdraw down one set and partway through the second set.

basically if a player withdraws in tennis you get your money back is what they are essentially saying ?

In tennis for most books, two full sets have to be completed without a player withdrawing for the wager to stand.

Meaning if the player you selected wins the 1st set, loses the 2nd, and withdraws for whatever reason in the 3rd, you lose

i think that particular part of the rules is saying if you bet the first set, and lost the first set, then the guy retired in the 2nd set, you would lose since the part you bet on had already been decided
