Hurricane Irma

Up to a category 5 now. Expected to drop to a 4 by the time it hits south florida. Winds still expected at 150 MPH.

Be safe guys. This should affect many games and lives. This also couldn't come at a worse time with the 1st week of NFL action on the same day. Could make things very difficult for Jack and the pools.

Thanks Wayne. Well we've had lots of practice. Hopefully won't turn in to us.

Everyone in path stay safe. I'll keep you updated if anything should happen.

Jack, Just like us here in Houston I know you've dealt with this stuff for years but it sure doesn't get any easier. Pray you and your family get out of this better than Houston did.

Looks like Miami game will not be played in Miami, possibly cancelling or moving to a nuetral site.

With Hurricane Irma barreling towards Florida this weekend, the game between the Dolphins and Buccaneers will not be played Sunday afternoon in Miami, the NFL announced Tuesday.

Irma, now a Category 5 hurricane with winds increasing to 185 miles per hour, according to NOAA and Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft, is expected to make landfall in South Florida this weekend.

The NFL has not determined when or where the game between the Bucs and Dolphins will be played. There are currently two options being considered: Sunday at a neutral site, or playing the game later in the season in Miami.

The Dolphins and Buccaneers both have a bye Week 11 this season. Moving the game to Nov. 19 would require both teams to play 16 straight games this season.

All seriousness, stay safe. This one looks nasty.

Getting out is a good thought but where do I go North? West? gas isn't easy to come by so I'll get as far as a full tank of gas takes me. What if the turnpike or 95 are a parking lot, I'm fucked. I think I'll just put my shutters up and ride it out. Got a couple cases of beer, few bottles of wine, handle of Tito's and Bacardi.

This one could suck a big fat one for Florida. I lost power for an hour today, Sunday will not be good. Good news is Gator r game was cancelled so I do not have to suffer thru that too.
