I can win the scoring title anytime I want to

Quote from Lebron - but he's right, isn't he?

Quote:
"If I really wanted to," James said, "if I really wanted to be the scoring [champion] every single year -- every single year -- I could really do it. But it doesn't matter."

similar situation with Kobe

if he decides to take 40 shots a night, the lakers lose, but he scores 50

both want to win more than pad stats

Could Kobe do it if Lebron wanted it? That's the question

well lets see...kobe has an 81 point game under his belt and a 60+ one before he was pulled in dallas. i dont think there's any question that if kobe wanted to he could lead the league in scoring every year too. kobe's jump shot and 3 pt range is better than lebrons

When I saw the title, I thought it signalled the return of Blackbeard Pimp

Yes, if Lebron wanted to win the scoring title, I think he easily could. Could say the same thing about 3 or 4 other guys too though.

55 in the 2nd half

61 through 3 quarters against dallas before he got benched (he was outscoring dallas by himself)

the man is as prolific a scorer as we'll see in our lifetimes

well i just looked it up, they shoot about the same % from 3, but kobe shoots 10% better from the line...that over the course of the season would be a huge difference
