here is the thing though. I will gladly stay in chicago for these colder 4-6 months rather than dealing with Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Wild Fires, and Earthquakes that the rest of you have to deal with

the cold toughens you up, but it wont kill you or destroy your home

i have had like 1 earthquake in my lifetime in southern cal, but thats only because its saving up for one big one and we will probably be an island after that lol

when i talk to my wife about retirement she says....no to florida and california because Florida will be underwater and cali will be floating in the pacific somewhere. Arizona will be beachfront property...lol

exactly...people think earthquakes happen all the time. most of them you cant even feel. i'll take the sunny weather thanks

to think about it, you're probably safer living in california with the chance of earthquakes than in a city where it snows and you have to drive in it
