I fell through the ceiling
Friggin community yard sale tomorrow, so I have to come home early from work and clear all the crap out of the attic. Attic isn't finished, so you have to walk on the beams. Last box, biggest and heaviest; wearing sunglasses and a hat cause its sunny outside - can't see a friggin thing and BAM!!! - my left leg is through the sheetrock ceiling hanging down in the back bedroom.
Luckily I was able to catch myself with my forearm on a beam so I didn't fall all the way through. Swollen up already - looks like I have 2 elbows now. My right leg must have bent the wrong way so now I have a nice limp as well. On the plus side, I have a skunky quarter and a 5th of tequila. GO RED SOX!!!

When my father was a kid, he did the same thing....but worse. His bedroom was a converted attic and he had just gotten out of the shower and fell right thru the floor while wrapped in a towel. Fortunately for him, he caught himself by his arms on the beams and didn't fall all the way through. Unfortunately for him, his mother was playing bridge with some friends just below him.
