I have an annoucement to make to the forum

First and foremost, I want to wish all of my many CappersMall friends the very best in this New Year and beyond. I have made many friends here and yet have somehow managed to make no real enemies. Knowing myself as well as I do, I have to admit that I am surprised that I have been able to maintain these diverse relationships with my fellow posters for nearly six years and this is and will continue to be an experience that I value tremendously.

Having managed to get through the sappy part of my post, I want to clarify a couple of things as they relate to what has been my “home away from home”; CappersMall. As I have stated here before, I have been planning to move to Panama when I retire from my engineering career. Based on the recent political and more importantly, the economic conditions facing all of us, I have decided to accelerate my retirement to begin immediately.

Part of my exit strategy has involved finding some way to keep myself occupied once I make this move. Naturally, I have been looking for a way not just to stay busy but something that would also provide some additional income in my “retirement”. Having visited numerous sportsbooks in Panama and Costa Rica, I have made quite a few friends in the business so I have been working on a variety of ideas on how I could basically create a position with one of these books that would be mutually beneficial to both of us.

Due to the current political and legal climate regarding internet gambling in the US, the sportsbooks have been pretty limited in their ability to advertise to American customers but one avenue that remains very viable is the gambling discussion forum market. I have been a poster at CappersMall for a while now as well as at other popular sites and have felt that I could be a relatively good forum representative for an offshore gambling portal.

After discussing this with several shops, I have decided to go to work with a relatively new (two years) post-up book that is based in San Jose, Costa Rica that previously was a large credit based bookmaking operation in the Midwest dating back over 15 years. Some of you may have already read about my involvement with my new employer at other sites, but out of the utmost respect that I have for Dr. Jack as well as his sponsors, I prefer to not discuss the details any further here at CappersMall.

Jack has been aware of my intentions to make this move since I initially began to seriously consider it and within the past two weeks, he and I jointly agreed that it would be awkward and even inappropriate for me to continue to be a moderator at CM so I am taking advantage of the New Year to announce this publicly.

My hope is that my employer’s budget will soon permit us to become a sponsor of this wonderful website that has been so much a part of my day to day life dating back to April of 2003. Regardless, I will continue to post here and hope to continue to maintain the great relationships with my CappersMall family that I have been so fortunate to have developed since stumbling onto this great community, six years ago.

I fully understand that some will respond to my decision to in a negative fashion but I can honestly say that this does not concern me. I am absolutely confident that I am doing what is in my best interest and in the end, I have no doubt that I will be proud of my decision.

Pleased to hear you will still be involved with cappersmall Judge, I was fearing something else reading through your post. Have always enjoyed your posts and insights and you are a class act. You will be missed as a mod.
