Well, he's not exactly Paul Walker, but I know what you're saying.

He's okay if he just has to play a character very much like himself with no real range.

He was excellent as part of an ensemble cast in 13 Conversations About One Thing, which is a well-regarded, little-seen film. Sort of like American Psycho meets Magnolia.

Also, check out the horror/suspense movie Frailty. McConaughey, Powers Boothe, and Bill Paxton in Paxton's directorial debut, I believe. Original story with probably the best ending of any movie of it's type.
