I need suggestions

This isn't regarding a pick but relates to betting. My friend and I have been booking for a while but he has track season starting next week every day until 5:30. I work on Wednesdays until 8:15 after classes and we really don't know how we should handle the bets on Wednesday when neither of us is going to be available until about 6:00 (when my partner would be home) so people couldn't take any 6:00 games.

My proposal was that we put out set lines for each game that don't move and then people e-mail their picks and we look to see when they sent it and they get whatever spread we decided on when I leave for work (we use sportsbook.com). That could help or hurt people in getting points but it seems like the only logical thing to do.

Can you guys think of anything better?

If you guys are making money, then the heck with track and the part-time job.

I would just make a recording on your answering machine with lines for that day and keep them the same, and then for people to make picks have a different # they call and leave them on an answering machine that is timed stamped until you get home to take the wagers. Also remember on the recording of the line make sure you state that they are for "entertainment Purposes ONLY"

So get a second phone line.

Hope this helps.

Wouldn't that leave an electronic "trail??"

If something were to happen.....the phone records may be subpoenaed.

The blonde pours the box of animal crackers on the table and starts to sort them by animals...tigers, lions, bears, elephants, etc etc

Her brunette roommates asks "Why are you sorting the animals into separate piles?"

The blonde replies "I want to see if any of the seals are damaged....the box says DO NOT EAT IF SEAL IS BROKEN"

wouldn't do it on an answering machine or anything like that...never know if you get hit by authorities or something...get email addresses of all your clients and send them the lines and then have them email their bets to your email account...would be my suggestion

I think we are going to end up putting the spreads up on either an away message (AIM) or on one of our Facebook pages. We are going to use the spreads that I see from sportsbook.com right before I leave for work and people are going to text me as they usually do. My partner gets home around 6:00 so games 7:00 and later won't be an issue. Thanks all.
