I calculated my gas milage yesterday and I am getting 37MPG on my bike. Costs $10 to fill up and has seen speeds over 160 mph. I think scooters get 60-80MPG but those things are kinda lame unless you live in like NYC or hong-kong.

A bike is the way to go with how high gas is, be really careful though when going at high speeds. I have heard of too many accidents lately and just a couple days ago my brother's friend got hit by two idiots racing on the freeway. He isn't doing so well right now, there's a machine that is helping to keep him alive by making sure his heart pumps consistently, he suffered some brain damage and who knows how many broken bones. Hopefully some how he can make it back.

Damn, that's a horrible story...I'll never understand why idiots (and it happens all the time in Southern Cali) think it's cool to race on the freeway. More importantly though, I sincerely hope that your brother's buddy pulls through okay.

sorry to hear that rm, I am fully aware of the consequences of a wreck at those speeds. I am actually the first one to admit that I will probobly never be able to truly use all of the potential of my bike unless I spend the rest of my life at the track. And mine is just a "litle" 600. These things are called race-replicas for a reason. You know I had to see how fast it would go though under semi-controlled conditions (5 lane highway with light traffic and visability of 2-3 miles). I am more afraid of someone running into me from behind though.

Did anyone see any pictures of Roethlisberger's face when he wrecked that Hayabusa?
