I Quit Smoking

Last Saturday when I woke up I told my wife I`m going to quit smoking and nothing will stand in my way. It`s been seven days today and I feel great. The cravings are less and less. I`ve been smoking for 37 years and just woke up and said I`m tired of it. I put my mind to it and knew it was time to quit. If tried to quit a few times before, but it never worked. This time it will. Some might say seven days? That`s not long enough to know you quit smoking. My answer is seven days is plenty of time for me to know I quit smoking.

I know I started eating more and eventually tasting food better after I quit. BOL to you again man. If only I can get off the cha

Congrats Victor.

Did you get a health scare/someone you know got sick/or doctor warned you?

Or did you just snap and say you've had enough? If you don't mind me asking how much did you smoke everyday and what kind of cigs?

I've been smoking for almost 15 years but I've maxed out at around 15-18 cigs a day and honestly I have no interest in quitting.

Again, congrats!!

Congats Vic, This my 4th day without smoking. I have quit 3 different times in 25 years. This by far has been the hardest. My first success was in boot camp 12 years ago. but started back when I got out. then 5 years ago I quit with the patch. and about a year an 8 months ago I started back due to stress. Now I'm on it again to quit. But I'm doing Chantex and it fuks with me bad. there is all kinds of side effects to this shit. So keep up the good work. and good luck with it.

Attaboy Victor. I "stopped" back in 2003 (4th of July Weekend - Sox/Yankees series)... I said "stopped" because it took the pressure off. Stay stopped Victor!! Soon you'll find smoking as disgusting as I do (note that ex-smokers are bitchier than non-smokers about smoking -- lol)
