I've always wondered how it's possible that anyone could ever fall for that. Whenever i get one, I always like to counter-offer with a better deal/lottery. I'll say thank you very much for your generous offer of 5 million US dollars, but i'd like to counter and offer you an even sweeter deal of 10 million US dollars as i've just selected you as the winner of a lottery that i conduct. Please reply with all your personal info so i can rush your winnings to you. They never respond.

You wouldn't believe how many people fall for it. Being in the banking industry, I see it more often than you think. I go to a class once a year and they tell us about the new scams and I just sit there and can't believe it.

The best one is when some comes up to you with a bag and says they just found 10k in the bag and they will share it with you if you give the X amount of dollars. Then you give over your cash and the bag has nothing in it but junk.

A scam on the phone is when a company calls and wants you to verify your name, address, SSN and credit card number.

I almost don't feel sorry for the people that get taken by these scams, you could almost look at it like a stupid tax. Anyone stupid enough to fall for the bag scam, probably deserves to get scammed.

Most of these are targeted towards the elderly. Most aren't up to date on the scams and if they are, they probably will forget.

I usually don't feel bad, but it happened to my grandmother (although they only got $300 from her).

Yeah that's wrong, didn't even think about the elderly.

I have fantasy championships under my belt. You might win a playoff fantasy league for the 1st time.

I wish I had a dollar for every pound you have gained in the past month
