If you could live in any "sports city" of your choice...

which city would you choose?

Basing this choice strictly on the access I would have to the teams and sports I would like to be able to see in person.

Pittsburgh is a great place to live when it comes to professional and collegiate sports teams and venues--Steelers and Heinz Field, Pirates and PNC Park, Pens and their new venue at Consol, Pitt Football and Basketball, Duquesne Basketball, and great western PA high school sports.

BUT, I would give all that up to move to an area where I could have everyday access to good collegiate and minor league baseball. My choice would have to be Durham, North Carolina.

All levels of minor ball close by, great college baseball near as well. Plus, minor league fall ball and a chance to coach little league fall ball.

And, can always dial up the Steelers & Pens on satellite to make it thru the winter.

Still have residence there, but not full time. The San Francisco Bay Area. We have the Giants, 49ers, A`s, Raiders and Warriors plus the weather is great and there is never a dull moment with so much to see and do.
