dont be "home brew guy" and force guests at your house to drink that shit when its way easier and just as cheap to buy it at the store

Give it a shot, you never know what you might create as you learn. I have a friend that brews and he makes some excellent things, so by no means does it all have to be bad.

Try and find some kind of brewing group or club near you, so you can meet and talk to people with some experience. That will get you started with learning about the equipment you will need, ingredients, etc. as well as getting some tips and learning about potential pitfalls.

I brew my own beer...but I do it as a hobby, not because it's some sort of cheap replacement or because it tastes better than anything I can get at the store. It's a lot of work and somewhat costly but it's nice when the finished product tastes good!

Coors light...LMAO.

For wine its a lot of work, but go to a 'you brew' place, for white wine let it sit for 3-4 months either in stainless steel or oak then you bottle it, and wait 6-8 more months before drinking. Don't buy cheap grapes or the wine will suck. If you make red it should sit in oak for a yr, then you cellar it for 3-5 yrs and again buy the more expensive grapes, we let our red sit 8-10 yrs, good luck if you do it.
