You could walk to the store. Find a pop bottle on the way. Get a dime for it. Then go to a phone booth and make a call.

The day I was born, 73 years ago. I was so happy I cried like a baby!!! I can actually remember farther back than that. I remember going to a dance with my father and coming home with my mother.....

Kids showed respect to adults and the adults had earned that respect and were basically good people. People worked for what they got and taking welfare and food stamps was embarrassing. Women had class and didn't act like tramps and cuss and get inked up like sailors.

Ok off of my soapbox. Buckhorn beer was 99 cents a six pack and I was to young to know it was awful.

Happy Days was a prime time show. McD was 5c a burger and 10c w/cheese. I could go play at my buddies up the street by myself and didn't need my mom to make a play date. Getting caught playing Dr. with my girl girl friend didn't land you in a psychologist office. There was no such thing as a safe space, but there was play doh.

You may have missed a number. I remember 15 burgers 19 with chess. We would make a triple burger for our workers.

First job but it's so common, I do not use it as a question to recover a password question of "What was your first job?"
