Racing thread doesn't work, I guess, so I'm putting this here:
I've been going to this event since age six, and it's always been a great time. It's good to see the car count up this year for the first time in about a decade. Anyone else going? Any thoughts as to who will put their name on the Borg Warner Trophy this year?

I'm about 20 miles from the track. I have been 4 times. I'm not much into Indy car racing, but will go if given a ticket......I would like them to open some betting windows.......Did you know that they don't show the race live in Indianapolis?

Been to Indy at TMS (Texas). loud as hell!

We do the driver intros for the track - helped Danica into the back of a pick up before the race - two years ago... wish I could have helped her with more... lol

Yeah, I know. That is pretty rediculous that they don't show the race live in Indy. I guess it's a Bill Wurtz, Chicago Blackhawk kind of thing. I love this event more than anything though. These cars are freakishly fast, and they blow Nascar all to hell IMO. I'll be in my outside turn-3 seat as usual. I go with my brother and a couple buddies. We've been going to this race almost every year since 1985, when we sat on the backstretch bleachers.
I do wish we could bet on who wins the pole. I'll I'll predict Marco Andretti wins the pole this year. Or possibly Scott Dixon, who really seems to be hooked up.
