Goodrich (GR)
theflyonthewall.com: Goodrich is riding global airplane surge-Barron's
Aviation parts maker Goodrich (GR) is benefiting from an upswing in the global aircraft segment, and could see its shares jump nearly 20% over the next year, Barron's forecasts. Boeing (BA) hopes to sell 2000 of its new 787 Dreamliner passenger jet planes, which each include $3M of Goodrich parts, over the next 20 years. Goodrich is making many more parts for the Dreamliner than its forerunners, and the company is also a supplier for several new planes made by Airbus, Boeing's largest rival. However, about 75% of Goodrich's revenues come from customers other than Boeing and Airbus. All of Goodrich's businesses, including its military products and aircraft parts replacement operations, are growing 10% or more per year. The stock is trading at a low price to earnings ratio compared with its peers, said PNC analyst Mike Rocco. "The stock is pretty cheap," adds UBS analyst David Strauss, who has a target on the shares of $73, compared with their Friday closing price of $63.16. :theflyonthewall.com
