Internet Gambling Operators in Costa Rica could be Arrested
Internet Gambling Operators in Costa Rica could be Arrested
November 20, 2006 Internet gambling operators in Costa Rica are fearful over the fact that one or more of them may soon be indicted and arrested within the next couple of days. On conditions of complete anonymity, an insider telephoned EOG exclusively this afternoon to inform us that more problems stemming from arrests made in New York, New Jersey, Florida and Nevada last week were eminent. Only a few days ago, prosecutors brought charges against 27 people in connection with a billion-dollar-a-year Internet sports gambling ring, including men identified by authorities as a professional baseball scout and a high-stakes poker player. The charges were brought in connection with a site called Playwithal.com, run by the poker player, James Giordano, 52, of Pine Crest, Fla., Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly and Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said last Wednesday. The charges include enterprise corruption, money laundering and promoting gambling. The insider states,"it's really serious shit involving Interpol and Federal Marshals. And although that National Enquirer Site (I forget their name) reports there is no relationship, there is indeed a connection and they are once again misinformed." "A key to all of this is the information on that laptop the Feds seized." The source concluded the interview by suggesting one of the suspects may already be in custody and flying back to the United States today.
