Question Internet Wagering coming to an End?

The Gov, is voting today to set up a huge barrier to internet wagering sites.

I would of hoped that the Gov would have more pressing issues to worry about other than the fact that their to stupid to legitimize the internet gaming industry to collect the revenue.

Havent they learned from history that the more you enforce prohibition the more underground and out of controll something gets. how dare they pick and choose what to abolish and what to keep. if they are going to try and stop online gaming all together why not prohibit the government sponsored lottery and the stupid scratch offs.

Its my discreationary income, and I should be able to choose how spend my hard working dollars weather its on entertainment or what ever. why should their be a interpretation between online wagering and going down to the casino and wager their.

at least online I can do it from the comfort of my home with out having to worry about meetings some crooked schmuck in dark alley somewhere only to place a bet or get ripped off. kinda like contra ban coming across the border or back in the old days with people dying or going blind becuase of bath tub gin, made entirely wrong. its a slippery slope.

bottom line is the gov needs to stay out of our lives and how we choose to use our entertainment dollars.
thats my 2cents. whats your thoughts.

Voldkoff,

I am going to move this to the bettor's mall where the issue is already being discussed as it's not really just a baseball issue.
