iPad owner since launch day, recently switched to the 3G model for more mobile access.

Pros
Portibility
Compact comptung device with great screen size and resolution. Perfect for email, web surfing, and cappersmall
Great ebook reader
Leave in backpack during airport security checks
Battery life is phenomenal 7-10 hours

Cons
Expensive
No more unlimited data plans

It's great but it doesn't replace a laptop. It's the perfect addition though. I think JD covered most pros & cons

The iPads run from like $500 - $900 depending on size. Not sure what plans are on Verizon, i think at&t is like $25 a month. I just really use it wifi, use my phone on the go more

don't have one, but if you are going Verizon... wait until 2011 so you have to carry the stupid little thing in your pocket (or on your person) that they show in the commercial. New version will already have this piece built in to the Pad.

i have one.....

i love it. i dont have the 3G, but im going to go to verizon to get their IPAD compatible network access....

its perfect for traveling, or just plain entertainment with all the apps.

mine was free, i won it through my company.....so i cant complain about costs...

no flash = no porn. LOL (or hundreds of other things we use comps for each day.. movies/games/websites. FLASH IS EVERYWHERE)

get laptop or netbook or googles tablet. 100% better

The skyfire browser for iphone and ipad converts flash to html5 or you can jailbreak the ipad and install frash which will play flash.
