Ipods play MP3 files....
Get an Ipod vs the competitors. Many more accessories available for Ipods.
The new Shuffle is smaller than a matchbook and costs $79!

yeah iPod is just a brand name of a MP3 player. The new Microsoft is nice too but they arent advertising them much. I have the iPod video and I love it. I have tv shows downloaded on it too. Great for flights. Price is down to like $249. I got mine last Christmas for $399 UGGGG

FYI I just bought my fiance a $200 4GB ipod for Christmas and gave it to her early and it has already had some problems but we seemed to work them out for now by just hooking up to the apple website. one positive thing i can say is that it is easy to update you just plug it in and it pulls the songs off your itunes. one negative thing is that if you try to hook it up to another computer it erases your current songs and transfers the songs from that computer only.

iPod, definitely....I work in the music business and iPods are the way to go. Even when they break, they give you a new one, with almost no questions asked

It seems I'll be on the other side of this coin here. I've got the Creative 30 gig MP3 player and love it! It has plenty of accessories too! If I may add a suggestion? Perhaps the new Sirius portable with MP3 storage. Has room for MP3's and also Sat radio. I love Sirius. It's just an idea.

Turn off the AutoUpdate before you hook it up. Then you can keep your current songs and add to them.
