plug any website name into http://whois.domaintools.com/

and you'll get some of the visitor info etc...

by far not as accurate as Jack could tell you though with regards to locations of members...

I thought this was interesting, it's called Wayback machine you can see what cappers looked like in 2001 till now.
Seems a lot of work has gone into this site over the years.

I would say Toronto has the most members (city-wise) by a fair margin followed by either Pittsburgh or Chicago, but probably in that order and the Top-3.

What gets me is that the two most populated cities in the USA--New York & Los Angeles has very few members in here from those cities. Don't know why but quickly it's probably because those two cities have the most local private racketeer bookies and its inhabitants use them on the spur of moment and don't use forums. I know it sounds limpy but I'm open to other views/opinions.

i've thought the same thing about NY and LA...
I can say LA is not a great sports town, it's hard to find true fans here. I don't know any gamblers... I keep my betting on the down low because of the looks you get when you mention betting on sports.
It's weird and i don't know why? SF and Seattle have more passion for sports despite having the worst teams in pro sports.
LA is sort of lame in this way.

That's right. It's more complicated than it looks. At first I thought only if a team was competitive would the local fans attend the games. True to a certain extent, but not really so. Then came up with only blue collar cities backed their team but there's more to it. Every city seems to emit its self-image and like u say "passion" is key, but still lacks comprehension. Maybe it's at at the level of advertising, promotion, and ownership level that reflects the most radiancy.

I have no doubt a good portion of Canadian visitors to this site come here because of the ProLine forum, which is one of the best out there. As for the other big cities and their lack of participation, another reason I could think of is there is a big concentration of various ethnicities in those metros and they may have been going to gambling forums that are in their own languages (Spanish, Italian, Chinese etc)

Not to say they can't speak or understand English but the point I am trying to make is birds of the same feather flock together, all the more so when it comes to gambling.

love the headline from the may 24 2002 page
Quote:
L A Dodgers right fielder Shawn Green hit four home runs Thursday, tying a major-league record and becoming only the 14th player to accomplish the feat. Green went 6 for 6 with seven RBIs and six runs scored. This is the 2nd time in 3 weeks this has been done. Seattle's Mike Cameron also hit 4 homers in a game this month.
With Jose Canseco about to write a tell all book about league wide steroid use, you have to ask yourself if this is what is going on?
What do you think contributes to all these homeruns? Steroids, juiced baseballs, terrible pitching, other?
