Question Jeter or Ripken - who has better career?

When all said and done who will be known as the better shortstop?

Can't forget ripken's iron man streak which will never be broken but jeter being a yankee and so many rings gives him a slight edge.

It depends on how you judge it. If its rings then Jeter. If its individual accomplishments the Ripken. I always thought Jeter was a bit overrated because he played for the Yankees. I would go Ripken playing everyday for that long is something that will probably never happen again.

Cal Ripken....

Its almost been 30 years since Ripken won the World Series and entered as a Rookie. Dont let what is currently happening skew your comparisons.

I seriously doubt ripken took steroids because if you look at all the known roid users in baseball they were all injured at one time or another. if ripken took roids he would have never played in that many consecutive games. roids make you more prone to injuries. even the freaky body builders in the muscle magazines get injured from taking roids.

jeter probably has the better career because of the team he was on.

Tiger never been a known roid user only speculation about him. i'm talking about guys like bonds, sosa, mcgwire, clemens, palmeiro, arod, giambi, conseco, etc. those were actually CAUGHT or ADMITTED users.
