Cool John Smoltz’s giant mansion looks like it’s worth every penny of the $7.2 million he’

The Smoltz estate is, at the very least, a sportsman's dream. Set on nearly 20-acres of land, the property comes complete with separate tennis and basketball courts, separate baseball and football fields, a stocked fishing pond with an oxygenation system, jogging trail and an 18-hole golf course. The 18,265-square-foot mansion includes a total of 10 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, and features exposed beams, cathedral-style vaulted ceilings, marble and hardwood flooring and a lavish two-level grand foyer. Inside, the home includes a wealth of amenities highlighted by a movie theater with adjacent concession stand, home gym, outdoor kitchen and lounge area with a wet bar.

This is the first thing I would do if I hit the lottery. A mansion with a small golf course on my property. Maybe 1 or 2 holes with different tee offs. Nice place like the little wooded area right beside the house...very well done.

obviously you've never heard of him

he still works... for MLB TV as an analyst, he does a few Braves games a year as a broadcaster/color commentary and local commercials

I've met the guy a handful of times and is one of the nicest guys ive ever met. Very funny too. He won't be going broke anytime soon.

Being nice, funny, & knowing him even personally has nothing to do with this.

Mind you Smoltz has been one my fav all-time pitchers...

...booth jobbing does not pay that much--all of us amateurs in here can do it.

Just hope he's made many wise investments while a still pitching.

I like Smoltz, one of the classier guys from back in the day
and really 7M seems reasonable considering what some of these mansions go for
and how much some clowns over spend
the house Elin just demolished didn't seem as nice and Smoltz's and was supposedly worth more

I seen Smolts at craps table, big gambler! I want to be nice and say that a stranger would not ask twice for autograph ! I seen Smolts make people feel bad for asking! But yes, he is a man's man!
