Randle, I post all of my plays that are above one unit. I am wagering a little in baseball right now and not posting those plays because I do not have a lot of confidence in my baseball handicapping skill and I do not want anyone to follow blindly until I get a handle on it.

question 1--do you use the same or different capping approaches across different sports??? Same question for college vs pro??

Recent performances by a team is a major factor for me. All sports teams go through periods of exceptional and inferior performances and an in depth look at those cycles is invaluable in projecting a team's performance in any given game. If you can identify the tendencies that teams inevitably exhibit, you can hit them hard and then know when to back off.

Identifying strengths and weaknesses of a team and how those traits compare to their opponent is a very tedious and boring process but perhaps the number one tacticl that I use. I know that this sounds very broad but I isolate all of the starters and the players that will be defending them and try to find the mis-matches that occur in most games.

In NCAA sports, finding bad lines for teams that are off the radar but playing big name opponents can be very rewarding. Almost universally, oddsmakers set the line based on public perception and not on reality.

Some will call me foolish but I place very little importance in line movement and public betting trends. I realize that these can be good references but honestly, after I complete my more "traditional" handicapping of a match-up, there is not much that is going to get me off of a game.

I wish that I could be more specific but there was actually a case of something "bad" happening today at CM due to a member gaining email addresses of other members.

Remember that although we like to think of ourselves as one big happy family, until you meet someone face to face, you do not really know them. The internet is anonymous and that allows for situations that are beneficial and detrimental as well.

The gambling community is full of scams and I know that Jack has no desire to provide an avenue for those that would try something unscrupulous.

Notice that this seems to be a big factor with the younger generation of cappers on this and other sites. What surprises me is how much faith they put in info which is still coming from the same source they are trying to "out guess".

I have been capping longer than most posters at the mall have been alive and have learned that unless you are on the inside or have a connection that is, what is often perceived as "public %age and a line being pounded" is nothing more than a statistical move made by a book to divide its money on a given contest. While some book might lean to a side every once in a while, the book wants to leave the gambling to us, the players. They dont want to gamble, they want the sure thing.

The main reason I focused my questions to you, Judge, is that you stay remarkably consistent over time. This is my biggest pitfall--I tend to be too streaky and often react and change according to the streak. I can tell when I am "seeing" things right as opposed to "reaching" to make plays. You seem to be unshaken and more confident in you next selection no matter what the outcome of the ones prior.

Still trying to learn after 32 years of doing this. Its my only vice .

Appreciate your time. 1st thing I am trying to implement from watching you and a couple of others I respect, gotta be more selective. Hockey has been great since playoffs have started (it has stayed "true to form" for me), NBA has been good but have reached for some plays which have cost me, and bases has been a rollercoaster. Hoping the application of your more selective approach will help me out in what is normally my best sport.
