Jury Duty : Any One Ever Done This?

Just been selected at random...

Don't know date or details yet,
just got the form on friday.

Just curious if any mallers have been
there , done it ...

no need to provide details
Obv ,

We all watch shows on tv,
but how is it in real life when
the prosecutor has to prove 100%
beyond reasonable doubt
someone is guilty of something
and there's a number of people deciding?

Yea, I was picked once, letter in the mail 2 years ago. Trial wasnt scheduled for like 3 months after I got the letter. And I was actually nervous since I had never done it and was real curious to what the case was etc etc. Then when I was ready for it, 2 weeks prior, I got a call with a recorded message saying the trial was PP'ned or cancelled, cant remember. And that it fulfilled my jury duty

thats what is scary about every being convicted of a crime, your fate is being decided by a roomfull of people who were too stupid to figure out how to get out of jury duty.

I just tell the judge that the person is guilty and I don't care what the attorney has to say. I have never had to sit because I already convicted him or her before it even begins. I go as far as to say, look at the guy, he looks likea drug dealer or a murderer. It works every time... I have better things to do then to sit around a bunch of stupid cops and criminals in a court room.

Been called twice, never serving

Once I got out of it because I knew the person and the other time they had their jury before my # was called

My wife did it and loved it full trial where they found the person not guilty

Guess it depends on each persons perspective :

If you own your own bus you won't get paid so won't want to go.

I work for salary , do pretty well
co will pay me to go...
(part of benefits) ...

At this point only been selected ,
does not mean I will be "chosen"
to serve on a jury ...

Guess i'll have to keep updated...

I'd consider it time off from work
in my case,
something different ...
lol

Doen't staTe if its a
local or fed case
since I havent even been "chosen"
at this point ...

Just " considered"
