start comprehensive training next week...basically getting assigned companies to cover that have smaller coverage and break down their financials, analyze the industry, analyze the company, any triggers or catalysts like new products and stuff, interview management, listen in on conference calls...etc etc, then write up my report either buy, sell or hold for the monthly publication.

yea, if nothing else it is a great opportunity to get great hands on training and develop my skills in analyzing a company's financials and learning about what to look for. plus, there is opportunity to work out of the house when writing up the reports and such...kinda flexible, plus the boss is a real cool guy and very knowledgeable about this since he did start up the company and was in my same shoes when he started

Congrats and put that bonus money toward a low expense ratio mutual fund, unless you have high interest debt...pay that first. Sorry to preach but if you were living fine without the bonus then invest it and forget about it.
