I heard from my cousin that Western Union is blacklisting people.

He said to keep the payouts lower than 1,0000 otherwise they ask u for ur id.

WU has turned up the heat for years but they have never really 100% done anything to stop it. Not sure the reason for Bodog eliminating them or if something happened. They might want to keep the WU limited so they do not lose this option (just a thought here, not facts)

I'm a little confused...did you talk to them?..or just didn't see Western Union tab?.....because their money transfer tab , is suppose to be thru WU. I spoke to them three days ago and that's what they told me... Please let us know on this...if anyone has further info. Appreciate it.

jaypasco, i was booted from w.u. as well, is money gram sent the same as w.u, and are they the same company. I would hate to try and send some dough and have w.u. lock it up on me because i refused to be interviewed for a 20 minute session to explain my transfers. Thanks for any input.

I didn't know WU blacklisted people, I know that over a certain amount you have to go through a phone interview with the clerk and the customer, (I work with a WU machine at work)..people always tell me that moneygram is MORE EXPENSIVE then WU glad to hear this alternative for some people!

depends on where its being sent from/going to....some countries they have a limit of say $5,000 USD, others it's $15,000USD so it's hard to say. And also some places require certain 'extras' to be filled out....like drivers licence, occupation....nothing too intrusive, but still weird...

if you keep your transfers low (sub $2,500USD) you shouldn't have a problem....if they do ask why you're sending/recieving so often in those large sums, say it's family down there - assuming the bookie gives you the same name each time - that's probably how they find you out

sub $1,000 CAN/USD would be the safest, when you send <1k you dont have to show any ID...when recieving under $1,000 CAN/USD it's up to the clerks discretion to ask for ID and they can refuse service...grocery stores usually ask for ID even if you're picking up $50....money mart doesn't....

keep your transfer low and keep them at different intervels of time - they will get more confused, they look for constant transfers over 1-2 weeks amounting to $10,000 before they consider it 'high threat' or "laundering" - will get more info from work later..
