Just saw this on the news. WTF
Californians rightly still want answers about an Arnold Schwarzenegger commutation which cut a prison sentence for a political pal's son in half.
"Well hello! I mean, of course you help a friend," the beefy former action star and governor arrogantly commented about the miscarriage of justice in a recent magazine article, according to NEWS10 in Sacramento. Schwarzenegger reduced the sentence of thug Esteban Nunez, who was involved in the stabbing death of 22-year-old Luis Dos Santos during an argument near San Diego State University. Nunez pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and is the son of former California Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez. The Schwarzenegger commutation is corrupt. The "governator" gave a favor to a political ally and is arrogantly refusing to own up to the egregious mistake. "I feel good about the decision... I happen to know the kid really well. I don't apologize about it," said Schwarzenegger, according to NEWS10. Schwarzenegger on his final night in office chopped nine years off the 16-year sentence. The Schwarzenegger commutation has correctly infuriated many Golden Staters and led to proposed legislation to end last-minute clemency authority. The former action actor also opined on former gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman's candidacy. "She was not as effective as a communicator, and her ideas were too extreme," he said. |
